Happy Anniversary!

My parents have been married for 41 years.

Bryan and Natalie have been married for 7 years.

Congrats you guys!
Sorry for the old pictures :)

Billy startles REALLY easily. Abrupt, loud noises, especially laughing, makes him jump and then start screaming. It only lasts 15 seconds, and then he's fine. See below. We think it's funny. Does that make us bad parents?

Billy isn't a big fan of his swing, but he does like his Boppy bouncer. Jay calls it his hovercraft. :)

I haven't finished decorating Billy's room yet, but here's a picture of him in his crib. I'll put more pictures up later when I'm finished. Thanks for the cute bedding, Emily!

Please watch this commercial and see if the protagonist reminds you of anyone in the Layton family (looks-wise).

I thought I was watching __________ Layton on TV the first time I saw it...freaked me out!!!!

Billy Buckley

Billy was such a pill at church yesterday! He is usually so good, sleeping most of the block. He is beginning to make more noises - and they are getting louder - which is fun we're are at home, but not at church! Actually, I don't know why I worry about it; this is without a doubt the LOUDEST ward I've ever been in (and yes, I have been to married wards at BYU). :)

Before church started, I had Billy sitting on my lap, facing me, and I was holding his hands to steady him. As we were talking to the guy next to us, Jay asked him how old he thought Billy was. After thinking about if for a minute, he answered that he must be about 6 months! Nope, try 2 1/2! Yes, that is how big our boy is! A friend of mine has a 7-month-old who weighs the same as Billy. Hopefully he'll take after Jay's uncle Bill (William) and play football (but not for the U of A if dad and grandpa Rod have anything to say about it)!

Last night Billy slept for 7 hours straight! Hooray. I think he was trying to make up for church yesterday!

My first hickey . . .

compliments of Billy!
When Billy and I took Sam for a walk the other day, Billy, who was apparently quite hungry, latched onto my arm and started sucking away. It started to kinda hurt, but I didn't think much of it until we got home and I sat down to feed him. I looked at my arm and started laughing!

Two month check-up

Wednesday was Billy's two month birthday. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! The little chubs is now 14 1/2 pounds and 24 inches long.
Last night Billy fell asleep at 10:00. He usually wakes up at 2 or 3 in the morning. When I heard him fuss this morning, I looked at my clock in absolute amazement to see that it was 5:00! The little guy actually slept for 7 hours!
Another cute picture of Billy and Sam. I swear I didn't set this up!

My 30th birthday!

What a great day! I got to sleep in (Jay took the morning feeding shift), and then we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Mmmm, momma's french toast!

I took a nap with my boys.
Jay took me to dinner at Macaroni Grill. It was such a nice night that we went outside and took pictures.

Best buds

I had big plans to run all sorts of errands this afternoon. Billy took a great nap, and I was going to feed him and we'd be on our way. Plans changed, but I'm not complaining. We suddenly got pelted with a thunderstorm! The temperature dropped from 93 degrees (same as Tempe, AZ) to 75 degrees! Ah, sweet relief! Sam was begging to go outside, so I opened the door, and he took one step out, and promptly turned right around and came back in. That boy HATES water. But when he does get wet, he goes crazy. He gets a toy, and tears around the house for 5 minutes. Well, getting the pads of his feet wet was apparently enough, and Sam started on one of his rampages through the apartment. In the meantime, I laid Billy down on the couch and sat down at the computer to get caught up on emails. I turned around when I heard Billy start to fuss, and there is Sam, standing over him. I called for him to get down, and when he moved away from Billy, I realized what Sam did and laughed out loud!
Apparently Sam wants Billy to grow up already and start playing with him! He had dropped his toy next to Billy and was waiting for him to throw it so he could play fetch! How adorable is that?
