Catching Up, Part Two...of Probably Forever

Words can't describe how bad I am at this blogging thing. I'm as good at blogging as I am at understanding Russian. Another 6+ months has passed and no blog from the Brimhall's...until today! Yes, the kids are still silly:
More interested in playing with tablets and phones:

We hope everyone has a great new year!

Catching Up

Since the last post in October 2011, a lot has happened. Not to get into the details, but suffice it to say Melissa and I have made some pretty significant decisions that have lead to me being at home with the kids and she out working. Although the traditional family roles have been reversed, we are adjusting to life. Moving on. Reagan and Billy have changed significantly since October. They're sillier.
More interested in their own little things.
Especially Mickey, or as Reagan calls him "Micka."
We took a trip to Utah in April to see Todd and Emily Layton (and family). It was great to catch up with them and have our kids meet their cousins. While we were there, we chose the worst day to go into SLC. We got some good pictures though.
Billy and dad went on our first Father's and Son's outing in late-May. We had a great time! We hiked, Billy shot an AR-15. It was great. He talks about camping all the time.
Dad has been taking the kids to the park this summer and Billy has become a climber. As a parting shot, take a look at just how prodigious he has become in his climbing abilities.

We had so much fun this Halloween. Billy got to dress up and
tit-o-teet 3 times! First we had our ward trunk or treat, and Jay was lucky enough to be a part of the "dunk tank", which wasn't water, but rather some sticky, slimy, sugary concoction. The joys of being in the bishopric . . .

We also went to my parents' ward trunk or treat the next evening, where I got to see lots of friends, like Summer and Geri Anne.

On Monday night, we took Billy and Reagan around our neighborhood and we all had a good time. We met all sorts of neighbors. We've been here a year now, and we had only met three of our cul-de-sac neighbors. Pretty sad, huh? Billy caught on pretty quick, and loved pushing doorbells and even tried to open a few doors!
