Apple Picking

Last weekend, we drove to Wickenburg to go apple picking at a family farm. Billy is quite the fan of apples (a-po), so he was pretty excited to see the sheer numbers. (Too bad a lot of them were on the ground).

Since I work Saturday mornings, we had to skip naptime, so Billy was pretty tired on the way home. He only slept for about 10 minutes because Jay was able to locate the BBQ restaurant that had catered an event at the city. We had dinner at the Hog Trough Smokehouse. It was pretty good, but really, it just made us miss Rudy's. If you are ever in Texas, look for a Rudy's - you won't be disappointed!

  1. Love the pics! It looks like you had fun. I can almost taste the cooler weather in the pictures! LOL Next time you guys are out here in the East Valley, we'll have to go to Joe's in Gilbert. If you haven't been there already, it totally reminds me of Rudy's too. It's super yum!

  2. How fun! And thanks for the apples you sent home for Kent - he loved them. Reminded him of Colorado picking apples from the neighbors (without permission?)and eating them crisp and delicious. We only have a couple left - trying to space them out!
