Getting into everything

Life as we knew it has changed dramatically . . . Billy started crawling! Of course he waits until the day AFTER his 9 month dr's appt! He is all over the place now. He loves to crawl OVER things, like me, Jay, and Sam. It's so funny. Sam is a trooper and puts up with him. Billy especially loves to crawl out the front door, and he's FAST! He has also found a new way to play with his exersaucer thingy.

9 month check-up

Billy had his 9 month check-up this morning. Our boy is in the 90th percentile across the board! He grew nearly 3 inches in the last 3 months (29.5"), going from the 50th percentile to the 90th. I'm happy that he's DOWN to the 90th percentile for weight (23.6 lbs) (at 2 months he was off the chart)!

Life with Billy is so fun these days! It's truly amazing to watch him learn and change and develop on a daily basis. He changed so much during our trip to Arizona over Christmas. He's really getting around now, though not quite crawling. He does a military crawl to get where he wants. He loves taking baths and has quickly become comfortable moving around the tub to get his toys. He just started pulling himself up to stand, so I finally lowered his crib.

He had the opportunity to try lots of new foods, like cheese, banana, and crackers. I'm glad I have family members and friends who are seasoned moms to help me know when it's time for new foods because my pediatrician is EXTREMELY conservative when it comes to that.

Billy says mama and dada, though the verdict is still out whether these are actual words yet.

While in AZ, Billy got to meet Sam's cousin doggies (Bear, Bella, and Buck), and he absolutely LOVED them! He would literally laugh whenever he saw Bear. Now that we're back at home, poor Sam gets his ears and beard tugged on at least on hourly basis. We're so luck to have a dog as sweet as Sam as a companion for Billy!
